2020-11-07Arrow21:40Goose South Farms Morris CTGets into some real dark themes. Unfinished and a great -> to "Doobie Song".
2021-05-03Arrow23:53Goose Frederick Fairgrounds Frederick MDFirst really exploratory jam of 2021 and it hints at the development of the "Ted" motif that will be come prevalent throughout the year. Back half is some great dual-guitar funk that eventually bleeds into an explosive "Bob Don."
2021-06-19Arrow17:57Goose Legend Valley Thornville OHMoves and builds upon a melodic riff for several minutes to a soaring peak like none I’ve heard, and then settles beautifully.
2021-07-10Arrow20:19Goose Sculpture Park at Denver Performing Arts Center Denver COFairly standard two-guitar rocking which slows down and gets into darker jamming at the end, sliding -> into "Creatures."
2021-08-21Arrow21:47Goose Oak Ridge Farm Arrington VAFloating melodic start that builds into a smoke show. Finish starts as pretty major key and then devolves into nastiness.
2021-11-22Arrow23:20Goose Mission Ballroom, The Denver COShow opener for a fan favorite show, jam starts in earnest at the 10:30 mark and stays within a pretty standard rocking tempo throughout. Ripping final peak and cool final minute cooldown into "Travelers."
2021-12-31Arrow24:29Goose Riviera Theatre Chicago ILShow opener for NYE ‘21, starting as a type 1 rocker with melodic playing by Rick and Trevor and Peter laying some lovely supporting guitar effects. Cooldown ensues until drumming intensifies and band power towards the finish.
2022-02-10Arrow27:00Goose Sylvee, The Madison WI27 min multi-part monster Arrow. Tweekz/Spuds-led space groove vibe -> Peter wah guitar party over a steady rhythmic gallop -> brief foray into dark jamming -> unique/pretty minor key peak.
2022-07-02Arrow28:58Goose Peach Music Festival Scranton PAStrong dual guitar attacking jam changes dramatically and beautifully as Pete shifts to synth effects around 18:45, creating a space groove and allowing Trevor and Ben to shine. Pete goes to keys a few minutes later as band builds up to a rocking finish.
2023-03-31Arrow26:09Goose Ryman Auditorium Nashville TNPeter’s Nord synth dominates, ultimately finding a repeating synth loop as jam escalates around it. Excellent slightly darker build with typical raging finish.
2023-04-28Arrow23:46Goose Warfield, The San Francisco CASlow building groove with a ripper of a finish. The last few minutes of the jam are truly spectacular.
2023-06-30Arrow29:38Goose Nelson Ledges Quarry Park Garrettsville OHPeter goes crazy on this "Arrow": synthy dreaminess, marimba dance style jamming, helicopter and alarm horn background effects, subtle voice drops (woo’s?), double guitar darkness. Once he shifts back to melodic keys you know final drive to peak is coming (and it delivers!).
2024-04-10Arrow25:09Goose Capitol Theatre, The Port Chester NYA good omen for 2024, "Arrow" makes good use of its time in the first outing of the year. The band drops into a late-night OB-6 space for a while before an explosive conclusion.
2024-06-16Arrow26:41Goose Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica Cleveland OHThis lengthy "Arrow" takes its time to leave the bow, but, once it does, soars high and true. The band pulls every trick from the quiver, starting with juicy vintage vibes, moving into interpolated Eurythmics-style synth work, and culminating in a punchy motif in which Rick masterfully synthesizes angular phrasing and blissy peaks.
2024-09-06Arrow26:36Goose Saratoga Performing Arts Center Saratoga Springs NYPeter hangs back for most of the jam on subtle OB-6 work, which gives Rick and Cotter the room they need to DOMINATE. A propulsive and dark theme emerges with Rick on nonstop momentum, using Cotter's full-steam-ahead groove to destroy everything in his path. Blasts back into a high-energy finish.
2024-09-22Arrow24:06Goose Edgefield Concerts on the Lawn Troutdale OREqual parts vibesy vibes, angular reverse delay, Big T fulcrum lines, cyclonic tribal toms, digital sauce, and staccato guitar attack, all culminating in a plucked-from-thin-air melody for Rick's closing solo, permuted several times before dissolving into the composed ending. Sultrily stirred.
2024-11-09Arrow20:25Goose Andrew J Brady Music Center Cincinnati OHA thick, grimy soundscape with heavily distorted vibes, Trevor in beast mode, Rick Marshall stack-like overdriven vamping, and a handful of perfectly-placed Jebb bass bombs. A sonic full-frontal assault. If War on Drugs covered “Arrow,” it would sound like this.
