2023-03-10Thatch16:00Goose Capitol Theatre, The Port Chester NYFirst version of the 2023 touring season shows the potential and the spaces it will reach in the coming weeks; more extended than late 2022 but not quite there yet.
2023-04-01Thatch15:08Goose Ryman Auditorium Nashville TNNo jam makes a bigger case that 2023 is the Year of Big T like this one. Aggressive bass thumping leads to an epic Trevor solo and funk-strutting, blazing finish.
2023-04-28Thatch20:18Goose Warfield, The San Francisco CAPatient, building funkfest. Great example of the band locking in and no one taking less, resulting in fantastic collective jamming.
2023-05-26Thatch21:26Goose Three Sisters Park Chillicothe ILOpens the second set with 20 mins of pure fire. Peter leans into some vicious clav riffing as the energy peaks and saves Rick on a technical difficulty. Brief minute of major key jamming and they wrap it up on a strong note.
2023-07-04Thatch17:37Goose Stone Pony Summer Stage Asbury Park NJTrevor driving as he often does with "Thatch," but this time with simple-yet-cool riffs and melodies that the band latches onto and then builds around. Stank face inducing rock in the last 6 minutes.
2023-09-28Thatch19:40Goose Wiltern, The Los Angeles CAWhile many previous versions of "Thatch" highlight an aggressive or darker jam, this LA version turns bright and contemplative after a turn of percussive play with strong Trevor and Peter underneath Rick's melodies. Hints of the Vegas "Elizabeth" to come a few days later.
2023-10-06Thatch21:09Goose Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater Morrison COContinuation of the mellower and more upbeat "Thatch" style seen at the Wiltern on 9/28. Rocking first half transitions into a quieter space that builds into an excellent peak.
2023-11-07Thatch17:47Goose Melkweg Amsterdam Peter collects a bunch of coins early on as the rhythm section destroys the minimalist funk groove. Rick pivots into triumph and the band unleashes a volcanic peak to close it out.
2023-11-16Thatch16:47Goose Academy 2 Manchester After funky start where Luigi finds his coins, Peter layers mystical synths and Rick finds a haunting repeating riff that propels a wonderfully unique and enchanting version. Thrilling finish.
2024-04-09Thatch18:26Goose Capitol Theatre, The Port Chester NYDark and propulsive jam led by Peter on the OB-6. Not the deepest improvisationally but an excellent listen.
2024-06-05Thatch15:57Goose Factory, The Chesterfield MOCircular patterns of tension and darkness develop as Cotter's fluidity shines. Builds layers and layers of unease as Peter hits sirens and Rick gets dissonant. Amazing stuff that can be likened to a mid-90s "Stash."
2024-06-14Thatch18:16Goose Northlands Live Swanzey NHBlazing second set version sees the band lock in around Trevor's thumping and Peter's arpeggiator. Hypnotic groove develops and hits a peak but is brought to its conclusion by Rick before it can go any further.
2024-06-21Thatch17:30Goose Fox Theatre Atlanta GAYou enjoy this jam, beginning with some squishy OB-6 work from Peter and eventually shifting into a flowing rock zone that might inspire you to jump on trampolines.
2024-06-29Thatch18:54Goose Forest Hills Stadium Queens NYBig second-set version comes on the heels of a special Autumn Crossing performance. The band strips down to minimalist funk initially with Peter really going ham with delay on the clav. All five members unite as one and rip through a sustained peak section with no one person in the lead.
2024-09-04Thatch19:57Goose MGM Music Hall at Fenway Boston MAListen for that earworm riff Peter picks up on Vibe. Excellent sustained peak.
2024-09-12Thatch19:33Goose Salt Shed, The Chicago ILShades of 6/19/21 "Madhuvan" and 11/18/23 "All I Need" as the band cools things off and flips on a tension/release alternating jam.
2024-10-04Thatch15:36Goose Memphis Botanical Gardens Memphis TNAggressive Rick and nice tension-building.
