2022-01-28Borne15:22Goose Fonda Theatre, The Los Angeles CADebut version is amazing with the loooooong synth build. Groovy second half of the jam.
2022-02-05Borne19:12Goose Neptune Theatre Seattle WAGold standard for blissful early jamming section with Pete's gorgeous keys and an all-time Rick solo. Standard but dance-filled groove in second half.
2023-03-25Borne29:20Goose Met, The Philadelphia PASome accuse this jam of being too slow, but it's a testament to Goose 2023 that they were able to find the space in the back half of this near-30min exploration, and just linger there in conversation. Absolutely gorgeous textures from Peter.
2023-04-13Borne26:53Goose Sylvee, The Madison WIThe third "Double time version" sees the jam quickly slow down into murky, hypnotic, watery space courtesy of Trevor and copious amounts of delay. Multiple sessions of whale calls, and a fiery screaming guitar solo over a full band groove, round out this must hear "Borne."
2024-06-04Borne30:47Goose Factory, The Chesterfield MOInitial standard "Borne" jamming gets into some weird territory just before the 20-minute mark thanks to Cotter and Trevor. Envelope filter bass gets augmented by choppy clav from Peter as Rick lays down loops, eventually smoothly morphing into an upbeat and rocking peak. Hell of an omen for the rest of tour.
2024-06-23Borne19:46Goose Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre Charlotte NCOn a sweltering evening in NC, Goose opts for quiet introspection in "Borne," following Peter's thick Vintage Vibe work into a familiar major-key progression. Sunset jams.
2024-09-13Borne19:23Goose Salt Shed, The Chicago ILStandard fare until the final few minutes when the band collapses into a dark and ambient loop-filled zone.
2024-09-21Borne20:05Goose Remlinger Farms Carnation WASeventeen months younger and still cutting his teeth, Eugene's baby brother enchants the neighboring northwest with a worthy, if less mature, reprise. Built on a bed of vintage vibes and a steady, pulsing bassline, the performance explores a richly textured, atmospheric space as Rick patiently vamps until finding a hook around the 14-minute mark. For the last few minutes, the band shifts to a dancier chordal groove that never fully realizes its potential, dissolving instead into "Turned Clouds."
